The ABCI river canoeing adventure will take place on May 31- June 1,2 2001.
The experience is open to ABCI students
of all grades.
Pick up an application at the main
office or any of the outdoor education club executive.
Application will be accepted between
March 12th - March 19th (noon).
**Reasons for unsuccessful applicants:
To many unacceptable absences
and lates.
Poor performance within
the classroom.
Conflicting commitment:
drivers education, noon classes, work, family
Unable to attend training
dates.

Monday March 12-19 Applications for the Outdoor Education
Club Canoe Trip available at the main office.

#1 at noon in room 204. (Bring a lunch, Don't be late)
Thursday March 29 Training Session #2
at noon in room 204. (Bring a lunch, Don't be late)
Tuesday April 3
Training Session #3 at noon in room 204. (Bring a lunch, Don't be late)
Monday April 9 Make-up Session for those students which have missed only one training session.
Tuesday April 10 Pool Testing at Harry Baily Aquatic Center ( Bring your forms!!)
Spring Break - Easter Week April 13 - April 22.
Wednesday April 25 Fitness Test at ABCI. - Meet in front of the library at 3:15 pm.

Saturday May 5
** 8 hour Canoe practice on the River. Meet at Rotary Park.

** 8 hour Canoe practice on the River. Meet at Rotary Park.
Saturday May 12
Pike Lake to Saskatoon Paddle - Students accepted by teacher appointment.
Tuesday May 29 Canoe Equipment Check after school on the football field near the canoe club shed.
Thursday May 31 Meet
at noon in the ABCI parking lot for departure for put-in site.
Friday June
1 On the Saskatchewan River.
Saturday June 2
Parent pick-up expected for approximately 3:00 pm at pick-up site.
Tuesday June 5 Wrap up meeting. Bring any "lost gear" and pictures to the meeting. Stay as long as you would like.
*Lake Canoe Practices:
You must sign-up for 2 ( 2 hour ) sessions on either May 1 or 3.
Sign-up sheets are posted across from the phys. ed. office.
Sessions run from 4:00 to 6:00 and
6:30 to 8:30.
**River Canoe Practices:
You must sign-up for 1 ( 8 hour ) session on either May 5 or 6.
Sign-up sheets are posted across from the phys. ed. office.
Sessions run from 8:30am to 4:30pm .
Bring water and a lunch. We will be stopping on the river bank at noon.
